Cu Chi – Cao Dai

HISTORICAL EXCURSION

CU CHI TUNNELS & CAO DAI TEMPLE

cccd

Begin the day with a trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tunnel system stretched over 200 km from Sai Gon to the Vietnamese-Cambodian border and was three levels deep. Today, the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction, giving the visitors a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the Vietnam War must have been like. The Cu Chi Tunnels are arguably the most famous tourist attraction that Vietnam has to offer as it played such an important role in the Vietnam War.

After the Cu Chi Tunnels, we will go to Tay Ninh Province, a southern province near the Vietnamese-Cambodian border. It is home of the unique Cao Dai sect, whose patron saints include Sun Yat-Sen, Victor Hugo and Nguyen Binh Khiem. The religion is a hybrid of Buddhism, Taoism, Confucianism and Christianity.
